Position the Gate
Place the gate in the desired position. Keep the gate closed while starting the installation.
Fix the Bottom Hinge
Using a concrete drill bit, drill through the bottom hinge lug into the brick wall. Insert the wall plug and tighten the coach screw.
Level the Gate
Place a spirit level on the front of the gate. Adjust the gate until it is perfectly level.
Fix the Top Hinge
While holding the gate level, drill through the top hinge lug into the wall. Insert the wall plug and tighten the coach screw.
Check the Gate Position
Close the gate and make sure it closes correctly against the closure post, with no large gap.
Fix the Bottom Closure Lug
With the gate still closed, drill through the bottom lug and into the wall. Insert the wall plug and tighten the coach screw.
Fix the Top Closure Lug
Drill through the top lug into the wall. Insert the wall plug and tighten the coach screw.
Fix the Middle Lugs
Drill and fasten any remaining middle lugs using the same method.
Final Check
Open and close the gate several times. Check that the gate swings freely, closes properly and that all screws are tight.
